    Stefanie-Manager

    Stefanie brings with her more than 15 years experience working in animal welfare. After obtaining a B.A. in Psychology from ASU she decided to focus on canine behavior and enrichment specializing in shelter dogs. She has worked with several shelters performing behavior evaluations, providing kennel enrichment and promoting adoption. She has obtained certifications in Emergency Animal Management, Dog Daycare Operations, Dog Behavior and Evaluations as well as having completed numerous courses focusing on all aspects of canine behavior. In 2008 Stefanie founded Canine Connection, LLC which provides evaluation and behavior consultation services to the public. She has also worked as a consultant for several other boarding/daycare facilities in the Phoenix area. She shares a home with her two kids and three dogs, Forrest, Pee Wee and Indy.




    Drew - Kennel Supervisor, Animal Caretaker


    Drew has a great passion for animals and truly enjoys their company. Part of that passion comes from his love for the great outdoors. Drew enjoys hiking, white-water rafting, caving and simply camping next to a stream in the middle of nowhere. In his spare time, Drew likes to read fantasy books, listen to music and play his guitars. Drew has been a part of the Alta Vista team since 2010 and is the Kennel Supervisor.





    Abby - Receptionist, Animal Caretaker

    Abby is a Phoenix native and is currently studying Veterinary Science at U of A. She has been involved with horses for over 7 years and is fascinated by the science of animals. She has worked with other vet clinics, worked as a pet sitter and volunteered with the Arizona Animal Welfare League. She enjoys the outdoors and some of her favorite activities are horseback riding, volleyball and painting. She shares a home with one cat named Max and Rex the horse.




    Leslie - Receptionist, Animal Caretaker

    Leslie was born in California then moved to Arizona with her parents. She graduated from ASU with a degree in Architectural Science but has had a passion for animals her whole life. She volunteered at the Arizona Animal Welfare League for 4 years then was hired as staff. She has had training in dog and cat socialization, body language and behavior. When not working with animals, Leslie enjoys dancing, puzzles and is a self-proclaimed "Documentary Junkie". She shares her home with two cats, Melon and Blackie and one dog, Nina.




    Ingrid - Receptionist, Animal Caretaker

    Ingrid is a huge advocate for animals and recently adopted her first dog, Roxy. Ingrid is an educator by day and a dog-lover by night. When not running the front desk she can usually be found out in one of the play yards with the big dogs... her favorites!




    Adrienne - Receptionist, Animal Caretaker

    Adrienne is originally from California but moved to Arizona several years ago. She is a college student studying the Fine Arts but nurtures her love for animals by hanging out with the crew at Alta Vista! She has cared for and loved animals since she was young and currently shares her life with 3 dogs and 5 cats. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends and going to the movies.




    Brittney - Groomer


    Brittney grew up in Rupert, Idaho and moved to Phoenix to go to college. While studying Media Arts and Animation, she found a job working with animals and soon discovered the art of pet grooming. Brittney brings several years of professional pet grooming experience to our team, which she joined in 2009. She is skilled in all breeds and their specific breed cuts. She specializes in both canine and feline grooming care. In her spare time Brittney enjoys spending time with her husband and her two dogs, Loki and Zod.




    Jacob - Kennel Assistant & Animal Caretaker

    Originally from California, Jacob has been involved in animal care and welfare his entire life. He has done everything from marine mammal rescue, to adoption advocacy for cats and dogs to foster parenting for rats! He worked for Maddie's Projects, an organization working towards the unnecessary euthanasia of companion animals, and has also worked for the Arizona Animal Welfare League. He has been trained in dog and cat behavior, body language and socialization. When not devoting his time to animals of every shape and size, Jacob likes to watch movies and hang out with friends.




    Steve - Kennel Assistant & Animal Caretaker

    Steve grew up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. As a young boy, he quickly developed a love for animals. While never owning anything himself, he had plenty of opportunity to interact with them. Later on, he would be asked to pet-sit frequently, as it was a passion of his to do so whenever possible. Today he continues to care for animals and is committed to their well-being.
